Paradisli with Sebastian

Sebastian and I have been working together with the Crux Juniors bouldering club for the past year or so. We made plans to attend the first "Climbing Teacher" course offered by the state together this summer. We only realized a bit too late that multipitch experience was a pre-requisite, and Sebastian didn't have any! So we decided to take a few trips to the local crag in Biel and do some easy 3-5 pitch routes. Although it's a bit grassy and has way too many bolts, Paradisli has a certain charm - and some sections of the rock are really top-quality Jura limestone. I brought a helmet anyway (good for Jura is not that good). We went through the basics of double ropes, establishing yourself at a two-bolt anchor, bringing a follower up, transferring gear, moving to a lead belay, rapping, etc. It was a beautiful evening and Sebastian was a fantastic student. Unfortunately, we missed the train back to town by a few minutes, but were able to hitch a ride with a really nice guy who told us all about his times traveling around the world. I'm looking forward to lots more long climbs with Sebastian!
